What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up?

Writer: Gabriela MuzziGabriela Muzzi

Ever since I was a kid, my parents asked me:

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

To this day, I still haven’t figured out what that means,

I know my strengths and flaws, but can’t answer the question.

Not knowing my passions or possible professions,

That would come with future interactions.

It’s hard to understand how to find the right path to follow.

When I feel like I'm falling into a hollow.

But it’s okay not to know,

Because no matter where you go,

There’s always a restart,

To choose again with your heart.

It can be scary, yet exciting,

So don’t answer with caution,

No matter what, there’s always an option.

When the questions comes up:

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

Say whatever you want, there's no need to rush.
