Today's match had a lot of pressure on it, since the EABH Lady Hawks wanted to bounce back from last night's tough loss. Since the beginning, the game was tense with both teams wanting to prove themselves. Maria Fernanda Vallerini (7) set the tone for the game starting with two impressive 2-pointers, giving the Hawks a lead. Mariana Lana (1) followed up with two free throws, widening the score to 6-2. The Falcons' cheerleaders were doing choreographies and singing cheers to encourage the TBS URCA team, but EABH was determined to stay ahead. Carolina Bonato (14) showed skillful passes and strategic plays. Letícia Fialho (9) joined the court doing a free throw, and Mariana Lana (1), with a lot of energy, kept the pressure on TBS URCA with her fast running.
Despite an unfortunate injury from the previous game, Brunna Gontijo (16) was a strong presence from the sidelines, cheering her team enthusiastically. In the second quarter, Nina Monteiro (3), Laura Calixto (11), and Helena Dias (6) joined the court making key passes that helped the hawks maintain the lead of the game. Ester Nascimento (15) and Mafê Vallerini (7) showed excellent ball control, and the team captain Summer Rose (17) did a great job leading the Hawks maintaining a great game flow.
The game became more intense in the third quarter when TBS URCA scored a two-pointer, narrowing the gap to 6-4. With the Hawks now in a tight situation, Giovanna Muzzi (5) and Larissa Ragonesi (18) entered the game bringing strength to the team. Mafê Vallerini (7) scored a crucial two-pointer to recover the lead, and soon after, scored another two-pointer, giving the Hawks a great advantage.
Gabriela Muzzi (12) and Addison Timmerman (8) entered the game to secure the win. Mafê Vallerini (7) was a standout player and showed great effort until the end of the game. The Hawks' supporters in the crowd cheered for the Lady Hawks basketball team, which secured a win with a final score of 12-5. The girls had great teamwork showing that, together, the lady Hawks can do anything!
