In the second game of the day, the EABH Hawks came on strong, determined to leave their earlier loss behind. The match at 2:00 PM was against the OLM Lancers, who were visibly determined. Everything that wasn't clicking in the previous basketball game, seemed to fall into place. With brave attacks and precise shots, the Hawks dominated the court, and Coach Fred was fired up motivating the team.
Mathieu Lessage (10) was blocking shots and defending aggressively. His energy was contagious, and other players like Chase Mason (6) and Pedro Mourão (9) were locked in on defense and hitting accurate shots, guarding OLM's top players and failing their offense. The Lancers fought back with determination, putting up a very strong defense. Bernardo Veloso (4) entered the court bringing fresh energy and contributing to the offenses. Mathieu's energized moves and Tiago Loures' (5) fierce ball-control kept the pressure on. Pedro Luiz (13) was executing amazing passes and greatly contributing to the flow of the game, setting up scoring opportunities. Massimiliano Vincintin (3) stepped onto the court with determination, making solid attempts at the basket.
By the end of the second quarter, the Hawks were in a comfortable lead, and key players like Jakob Timmerman (12) and Pedro Jorge (7) helped the team maintain the pace. The scoreboard read 12-4 as the third quarter began, and Pedro Luiz (13) led with a two-pointer. Pedro Almeida (11) ended the third quarter with a brilliant three-point shot, widening the gap to 21-4. Despite the opposing crowd's efforts to engage their team with cheers and shouting out the players, the Lancers couldn't catch up.
In the final minutes of the game, the score was at 27-12, and the Lancer's fans didn't give up cheering. In the final four minutes, the youngest Hawks had their moment to shine. João Gama (2), Lucas Coutinho (17), Lucca Crepaldi (15), and Felipe Wanderley (8) entered the court to finish the game in style, with a two-pointer from Lucas. The hawks won the game with an amazing score of 29-13. It was a well-deserved victory for EABH, proving that together, the Hawks rock!
