Coming back to F2F school can be hard after working almost three semesters online, with 100% support of the internet. So I decided to present to you my secret to feel good and motivated while doing my school work. Listening to these songs before, during, or after working for school will make you feel confident about what you did/ is about to do! Enjoy!
Unwritten - Natasha Bedingfield
Unwritten gives me not only motivation to study but to go out there and live my life to the fullest, feel the rain on my skin because no one else can feel it for me. Its feel-good melody and sweet rhythm will make you focus to the fullest while doing your homework or studying for a test.
Not Afraid - Eminem
It is no surprise that The Real Slim Shady thinks highly about himself. But, the good part of it is that he takes us on this journey too. Listening to Not Afraid will make you want to save all of the world's issues alone. The power one song has to make you go after your goals and not be afraid to “take a step”!!! No surprise it won the 2011 Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance, it makes you feel like a hero.
Hall of Fame - The Script (feat. will.i.am)
When feeling unmotivated: stick to the cliches. Nothing like motivational quotes like “you can be the greatest” and “you can be the best”, to make you want to be the best student in your class. This song embodies the motto that dedication leads to success, and beats talent. Always aim higher, never stick to the basics, and consequently “the world’s gonna know your name”. Go rock your schoolwork.
Unstoppable- Sia
I know sometimes it is hard to understand what Sia is singing about, but she wants to let you know that you are a winner, you are indeed, UNSTOPPABLE! Go out there, do your schoolwork, and do not care about what others think of you. Show them that you are “a Porsche with no brakes”!!!!!!
Three Little Birds - Bob Marley and the Wailers
When assessment periods come by, the only string of faith is that it will end, and soon enough the break will come by, right? Three Little Birds is the right song for that period. Nothing like reggae to make us chill and relax in tough times, and to always wake up and “smile at the rising sun” because every day is a new day. So, “don’t worry about a thing”.... BUT DO YOUR SCHOOL WORK!
Drag Me Down - One Direction
I guess any One Direction song I put in here would make you feel good. But “Drag Me Down” embodies motivation. I challenge you to live this motto throughout your school year: don’t let anyone or anything drag YOU down!
Can’t Hold Us - Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (feat. Ray Dalton)
I have to admit, this song gets me through every hard patch in my life, from the silliest to the most serious. It shows us that there is nothing that can stop us from reaching our goals. Its rhythm combined with its melody makes us want to go run for President! While we can’t do it because (and only because) of age restrictions, we go out there and ace every assignment we get with the motivation provided by this song!
